About
Ardeth Bey are an original, alternative, hard rock band based in Cornwall.
Biography
Founding members Joe Kruger and Leona Coombe began recording demos for Ardeth Bey in the spring of 2010, though writing had begun in some cases as early as 2005. Ardeth Bey was expected to make live appearances in the summer of 2010, however when newly recruited members were unable to commit to the project, it then went on hold and Coombe and Kruger returned to work on another project.
The first demo recorded for public release was completed in the winter of 2011.
In June of 2012 Ardeth Bey began playing live semi-acoustically as a three piece around Cornwall and Devon and made appearances on internet radio shows. In February 2013 they started working on their full electric line up having added Chris Haycock on drums and Jess Bevington on bass, since replaced by James Murphy in 2015. The band has performed live regularly around Cornwall at various venues, festivals and events as well as recording their first EP, released in November 2014 after signing with TBC Records. A re-recording of signature song 'Running On My Chain' was released with Fat Buddha Records in Nov 2015.
During the summer of 2016, recording began on the album 'Only Road We Know', engineered and mastered by CJ Gadget of Roslon Media. Released in May 2017, the album captures the feel of the band's classic rock influences and extensive sound.
